Lay Summary (German)

Lead

Abstract

I will use the "Forschungspauschale Forschungsratspräsident SNF" to continue and develop my research with a focus on methodological and substantive issues in clinical epidemiology and public health, including analyses of large cohort studies, pragmatic trials and meta-analytical research in infectious diseases and cancer. Over the next year the grant will mainly support work on predicting population-level antiretroviral drug resistance in sub-Saharan Africa, modeling outcomes in HIV-positive patients lost to follow up in African treatment programs and, in Switzerland, several projects within the framework of the Swiss National Cohort.
