Lay summary
This cooperative project, which brings together researchers in philosphy and sociology from the Universities of Fribourg, Geneva and Lausanne, aims at investigating the nature of norms in three domains: knowledge, mind and society. Project A in Geneva deals with epistemic norms such as truth, evidence and justification and questions their status within the natural world. Project B in Fribourg deals with norms of mental and the nature of reasons. Project C in Lausanne deals with social norms. the three projects will interact in order to develop new directions in the philosophy or normativity.
