Abstract

The applicant proposes a research plan in Mathematical Physics suited tomake best use of the joint expertise of a postdoc (Martin Fraas), of a graduate student (Vincent Beaud), and of his own.The research to be performed is about one or several of the following topics,as further detailed in Section 2.2:(i) quantum mechanics of open systems(ii) scattering in quantum field theory,(iii) topological insulators.
