Thema dieses Projekts is die Berechnung der trilinearen und quartischen Selbst-Kopplungen der supersymmetrischen Higgsbosonen, die in massgeblicher Weise das Potential der Teilchenbeschleuniger Tevatron, LHC und einem möglichen Elektron-Positron-Linearbeschleuniger festlegen, die Natur der elektroschwachen Symmetriebrechung zu untersuchen. Die Suche nach Higgsbosonen gehört zu den Hauptzielen gegenwärtiger und zukünftiger Teilchenbeschleuniger in der Elementarteilchenphysik.Ziel dieses Projekts ist die Berechnung der Higgs-Selbst-Kopplungen mit einer Genauigkeit im Prozentbereich. Dies erfordert die Erweiterung vorhandener Ein-Schleifen-Rechnungen auf das Zwei-Schleifen-Niveau innerhalb der Störungstheorie. Die Higgs-Selbst-Kopplungen definieren das Higgs-Potential und damit dessen explizite Gestalt, die im Standardmodell und seinen möglichen supersymmetrischen Erweiterungen die elektroschwache Symmetriebrechung induziert.

Abstract

The search for Higgs bosons is one of the most important endeavours at the LHC and a future linear e+e- collider. Due to the large background reactions induced by strong interactions at the LHC several Higgs boson production and decay modes have to be searched for in order to cover the whole Higgs mass ranges within the Standard Model (SM) and its minimal supersymmetric extension (MSSM). Once the existence of the Higgs bosons is established their properties have to be determined. In order to prove the Higgs sector to be the source of electroweak symmetry breaking the measurement of the Higgs self-interactions is mandatory, i.e. the experimental reconstruction of the Higgs potential. The experimental accuracies have to be matched by the uncertainties of the theoretical calculations of those couplings. This requires a computation of the Higgs self-interactions beyond the next-to-leading order in perturbation theory, since the corrections are large at next-to-leading order.The topic of this work is the determination of the leading two-loop corrections to the self-interactions of the Higgs bosons within the MSSM. The goal of the project is a significant reduction of the theoretical uncertainties to a reliable level that is required by sophisticated experimental analyses and measurements at the LHC and a future linear e+e- collider.
