Lay summary
Inland deltas are deltas of rivers that do not end in the sea or a lake but disappear due to evaporation on their way. One of the largest inland river deltas is the delta of the Okavango which will be studied in detail in this project. With the help of a new computer model the sedimentation and erosion processes that lead to the formation of the river delta will be modeled to gain a better insight into the underlying physical processes that are not accessible by measurements due to the geological time scales involved in these processes.
