Die Globalisierung schafft neue strukturelle Konfliktlinien innerhalb und zwischen nationalen Kontexten. Diese neuen Gegensätze begründen – so die Ausgangsvermutung dieses Projekts – die Potentiale für politische Mobilisierungsprozesse innerhalb nationaler politischer Räume. Sie sind von entscheidender Bedeutung dafür, wie Globalisierungsfolgen politisch verarbeitet werden. Das Projekt befasst sich einerseits mit der Analyse dieser Konfliktpotentiale und andererseits mit der Art und Weise, wie diese Potentiale in der nationalen Politik seit den neunziger Jahren durch politische Parteien mobilisiert werden.

Das Projekt wird vom Institut für Politikwissenschaft der Universität Zürich gemeinsam mit dem Geschwister-Scholl-Institut für Politische Wissenschaft der LMU München durchgeführt.
